Wongaburra Home Care is a leading not for profit organisation in Beaudesert, located one hour from Brisbane City and the Gold Coast.
About the Role
Our Support Workers (Home Care) helps our clients to remain living in their own homes for as long as they wish by providing in-home assistance by providing:
- Personal Care and assisting clients to care for themselves and manage their own medications
- Social Support encompassing shopping and help with going out to social events
- Transport including medical appointments or other
- Food Services including delivery of meals, dietary lessons and training of food safety
We also have some positions for unqualified candidates willing to do domestic cleaning.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability or completion of first year Bachelor of Nursing studies.
- Current driver’s license and registered vehicle.
- First Aid Level 2 Certificate.
- A Smartphone.
- COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of employment
About You
You are compassionate and want to make a difference to the lives of others. Applying your skills from your certificate III in Aged Care, you are comfortable with domestic duties, and providing personal care when needed. Your ability to articulate clearly and confidently makes communication your strength. Enthusiastic, resilient and caring, you are able to start immediately and have an unrestricted driver’s license, and own a vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

Expressions of Interest from Assistants in Nursing with a genuine interest in Aged Care . Minimum qualification required is Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) with availability for all shifts, e.g. morning, afternoon and night shifts.
Expressions of Interest from Enrolled Nurses with a genuine interest in Aged Care who are available for all shifts, morning, afternoon and night. Applicants with experience in dementia care will be highly regarded.
Expressions of Interest from Registered Nurses with a genuine interest in Aged Care who is available for all shifts, morning, afternoon and night.
Expressions of Interest for food services, cleaning and laundry (support services). Experience in Food Handling, Cold Larder and Cleaning will be highly regarded. Applicants must have a genuine interest in Aged Care, be available for all shifts / areas, including early starts and must be able to work weekends with an immediate start.
Applicants must have current Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations as per mandatory QLD Health directive.
